I am proud of most of the work that I do. I believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Some assignments that I am proud of are my god/goddess project for English 9A and my in-class essay from English 9B. I got 100% on my essay and a 105% on my goddess project. I spent a lot of time on my project and put a lot of effort into my essay. I hope that I can continue to produce quality work.
When I googled my name, pictures from my etsy shop showed up along with some of my social media pages and a picture from one of my softball games. I hope that more pictures of my softball games will show up. I think that the footprint that I am leaving online is a positive footprint. I am very conscious of what I post online because I know that anyone can access your online footprint. I am searching a lot about college softball, so people would probably assume that I play softball or might be on a college softball team.
If I could choose a job to have in high school, I would want to be a waitress at a small non-franchise restaurant. I think that being a waitress would be a good job for me because I like to work with people and I can multitask pretty well. My mom is a part-time waitress and she still enjoys her job. I think that being a waitress would be a good job to start my career at.
This article is about trained elephants and how they never try to pull the stake that holds them down because they remember that they are unable to because they were not strong enough when they were younger. I would not want to have an elephant's memory because I would not want previous experiences to limit my ability to believe in myself because I have messed up before. My best memory is of when I hit my first out-of-the-park home run. I was in Florida with my travel softball team, the Batbusters for the World Series, our last tournament of the summer. It was our second to last game and I was up to bat. We were losing pretty badly and there were two runners on base. It was a 2-2 count and I got an inside pitch. I swung the bat and BOOM! The ball soared over the right field fence. I was sprinting to first and saw it go over. I slowed down and took the moment in. My team came out of the dugout to congratulate me. Even though we didn't end up winning the game, it was one of the best moments of my life. I couldn't stop smiling. I even got to keep the ball!
Out of the seven rules in this video, the rule that stands out to me the most is rule #3: Your health is your wealth. This one stands out to me because it is so true that your health is really the only thing that if you lose, you lose everything.
One thing that I consider awesome in life is when strangers are actually nice people and can make others laugh. I think it is the coolest thing when someone you've never met can make your day better. When someone in the car next to me smiles at me while sitting at the stoplight, it makes me feel really good.
Next week is spring break! Even though I'm not doing anything in particular, I'm excited to get a break from school. I really need to catch up on my sleep and clean my room. Hopefully, my family can do at least one fun thing together. Maybe I will play outside with my sisters, draw, or just watch t.v.
The most recent time that I did a good deed in life was when I helped my friend out at softball tryouts. She really wanted to make the team and asked me to help her out with some things. I was more than happy when I found out that she made the team. It meant a lot to me that I helped make a difference for her.
The title of this article is “The Farmer’s Donkey”. This article is about an old donkey that falls down a well. The donkey’s owner, the farmer, decides to cover the donkey with dirt because the hole needs to be filled anyways. The donkey realizes that he is being buried. At first, he cries for help, but then starts to shake the dirt off of him and take a step up until he can climb out.
I agree with the messages in this article. I think that it is always worth it to keep trying and persevere through all of the dirt that life throws at you. Don’t be the farmer, the one who puts others down. Be the donkey, and never give up on anything in life. I can relate this article to my mom, because she perseveres through the obstacles that stand in front of her, like heart problems, tight budgets, and busy schedules. I will use this story to help me get through some tough things that will stand in my way in the future. If I have a tough day, I will know that the only option is to keep going and persevere. I have to be able to step up onto that dirt that people throw at me. When I get a job, I will always think of that dirt as an obstacle to overcome, not an excuse to make people feel sorry for me. Some people like to make others feel bad about themselves, but I will not let them get to me. I will let those people go. Impossible: not capable of occurring or being accomplished or achieved Determined: devoting full strength and concentrated attention to My favorite part of this quote is when Swindoll says "...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it". I completely agree with this. Positive attitude is one of the most important things to have in life. You can't change what happens to you, but you can choose how to react to it.
